My name is Katja Bergmann.
I am a painter, crochet artist and dancer.

I studied classical and modern dance at the Hamburg State Opera Ballet School and the Rotterdamse Dansacademie. Afterwards I worked as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Hamburg.

In 2002 I started painting as another form of art and expression. At first I created watercolours and wax paintings, since 2004 I have concentrated on painting oil paintings on canvas in various styles.

The paintings published on the homepage are painted in high-quality oil paints on canvas and mounted on stretcher frames.

In 2018 I started crocheting. Little by little, I made many dresses and tunics in the Irish Crochet and Freeform technique. Characteristic for my style are the animals that appear in almost all my crochet works.
